MMA fighter and former Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers’ unbeaten record has been brought to an abrupt end thanks to American fighter Corey Browning.
The pair came together for a show down in Newcastle, with Browning the confident underdog, who was always expected to be Chalmers’ toughest opponent yet.
Despite his more amateur status, Browning had defeated Kevin Ferguson Jr. (aka Baby Slice) in his last fight, taking his record to 4-2.
Entering the fight, Browning declared:
I don’t think Aaron Chalmers has ever fought someone with the general toughness that I have. He’s gonna be able to hit me and I’m not going to go down. I don’t know how he’s going to react to that.
Those words seemed to ring true in the first round at least, after a powerful left hook from Chalmers left Browning on the mat. However, as the former Geordie Shore star walked away, believing Browning was down and out, the American stirred and managed to see out the first round.

It seems Chalmers may have anticipated the defeat, though. Earlier in the week, he said:
I suppose we’ll wait and see how he comes back from this one then. There are going to be losses along the way.But I think the comeback is always better than the fallback, so it’s how you deal with the loss and come back from it.
