Genius Hack Turns AirPods Into Earrings To Stop Them Going Missing

A person who was sick of losing AirPods cleverly turned them into earrings which they are now selling online.
22-year-old paralegal Gabrielle Reilly, from Virginia, shared a video of themselves modelling the earrings on Twitter on January 26.
Gabrielle, who is non-binary, attached earrings onto the ends of their Apple wireless earphones to ensure they don’t lose them.
Showing how secure they are, in the short video Gabrielle can be seen shaking their head while wearing the earrings before placing the AirPods into their ears.
In the Twitter post Gabrielle wrote:
I made airpod earrings lmaoooo. I didnt want to post this till I had better pics but whatever here it is.
I’m gonna refine the design and release pics so y’all can custom order them from me.
Unsurprisingly the internet loved Gabrielle’s genius hack earning the tweet, at time of writing (January 30), over 199,000 likes and 46,000 retweets.
peaking to BuzzFeed News, Gabrielle explained why they created the ‘airings’.
Gabrielle said:
I absolutely refuse to lose them. My cat ate through two pairs of Beats Bluetooth earphones, and all my other earphones.
So I got the AirPods because there was no wire for her to chew but I still needed something to connect them.
So I made earrings. I also have a chain necklace that I used to connect them. It took me maybe around an hour to make the earrings because I had to custom-make the piece that connects the AirPods to the earrings.
Gabrielle told Online Sindh it took some refining to ensure the ‘airings’ were secure saying:
At first, I had a necklace chain that I attached the pods to. Because of my tragus earring, earbuds tend to fall out. So I was super scared about that. Then I thought, why not make earrings?
